Although the origins are not entirely clear, one thing is for certain, and that is that it's not the job of a free press to only print what subjects of stories want printed.
Conservatives can scream about alternative facts and fake news all they want, it doesn't change the role of journalists, which is to report news accurately, regardless of what the subjects of the news would prefer.
